Books About... Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer: A Patient's Guide to Treatment by Dr. Arthur Centeno is a highly recommended, very readable review of all the major treatment methods.

The Guide to Surviving Prostate Cancer by Dr.Patrick Walsh, 2nd edition (2007). This extremely thorough review of prostate cancer is written, at least in part, by Dr.Patrick Walsh, the man who first described the nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy. This book is a real project to get through, but may serve some as an excellent reference about prostate cancer.

The title, Prostate Cancer for Dummies, implies this is a light-hearted pamphlet about this very serious subject. It is actually a thorough, yet readable discussion about symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of prostate cancer by Dr.Paul Lange, a leader in the field of prostate cancer. This book can help you educate yourself, and, with the help of your physician, make a plan for getting the best treatment possible.
